Using Audio for Learning

The simplicity of creating and sharing audio learning materials is often overlooked by practitioners. This session will outline the learning benefits of teacher, and student generated audio materials. The exploitation of audio increases access to learning for all learners, particularly, dyslexic and/or visually impaired learners. This workshop is informed by my experiences of using audio both as a learner on my Master’s programme and as a teacher and curriculum designer. Beyond the technical aspects of using audio for learning, and tools that can be used for this, the workshop will focus on some pedagogical considerations underpinning its use. Participants are encouraged to share both their reflections on the workshop and suggestions for the use of audio for learning in their own contexts.
