Bio: Thomas is originally from San Diego, California. He is a 19-year international school teaching veteran and is an Apple Distinguished Educator. In his career, Thomas has taught 24 different courses. Most have been Social Studies courses, including five different IB courses, but he has also taught Technology, Arts, and English courses. After working as a Technology Coach for seven years in a dual-role capacity at various schools, Thomas is now a full-time HS Instructional Coach for Technology at SSIS. He has a passion for inquiry and project-based learning environments where student interests are at the center of learning and technology use can promote more creation rather than consumption of content in the learning process.
