Building a Digital Resource to change the game…
Since the dawn of time, teachers have ridden the pendulum of edu-babble to determine which word best encapsulates the meaning of “differentiation.” Is it student-centered, personalized, mastery education, student voice and choice, etc…
In this workshop, we will focus on ways to improve student-centered learning, the term I have settled on, by constructing resource hubs that can cater to different age and skill levels. A “choose your own adventure” curriculum that breaks down the confines of a traditional school environment through the use of technology. The concept is simply to meet students at their individual skill level and bring them forward, no matter their age. We will explore how my team of design teachers have begun this journey and showcase what we have built to document process-folios while providing opportunities for peer and self assessment.
